If you have taken this course, how did you find it? Would you recommend someone to take it as an elective?

I personally liked it. I would take it if contoyannis isn't teaching it

Contoyannis is awful, definitely don't take it with him. If Letendre is teaching it, take it with him. It's definitely not a bird class though, unless maybe you love stats and algebra. I found it pretty dry, but not as bad as people say.
