[Engineering I] What happened to linear algebra?
So I was looking at the 2007-08 undergraduate calendar and the 2008-09 calendar, and I noticed for Engineering I that they have removed linear algebra.

Why did they do this and will we ever have to take linear algebra at all?

It was changed for courses this year.
You used to take Math 1N03, 1NN3 and 1H03
now you take Math 1Z04 and 1ZZ5.
The courses were just combined

I think Math 1ZZ5 has the linear algebra material in it now. Basically they took the old three math courses (1N03, 1H03, 1NN3) and reworked them into the two new ones (1Z04/1ZZ5).

Anybody know cut-off marks or grades for second year engineering disciplines?

Cutoff marks all depend on other people trying to get into programs - its supply and demand essentially

So if demand for your program is high (mech, civil, biomed....) your marks will have to be high to make the cutoff number (or have free choice)
If its not so high (engphys, chem, materials) then youre pretty much good. Though I did hear about people being turned down from materials this year!!

And you need a 5 to be in management im pretty sure.
