Returning Students: Prepare to enrol in 2015-2016 fall/winter classes
This June McMaster students will register for their fall and winter classes using Mosaic. The switch to Mosaic brings several changes in the enrolment (registration) process, notably the introduction of Enrolment Appointments at assigned times.
Key dates to make note of:
Final academic standing for fall/winter 2014-2015 available week of May 19
Fall/winter 2015-2016 timetable released first week of June
Enrolment will continue to be organized by academic level, but within a level, students will be randomly assigned dates and times for Enrolment Appointments. Enrolment Appointments are located in the Enrolment Dates panel in the Mosaic Student Centre. Students will be able to view their personal Enrolment Appointment times in Mosaic approximately one week before their level is scheduled to begin course enrolment.
Anticipated enrolment dates
Levels 4 and 5: Week of June 8
Level 3: Week of June 15
Level 2: Week of June 15
Level 1: Week of June 22
Students can enrol as soon as their Enrolment Appointment opens. A student's class schedule is automatically generated as they enrol in classes and is immediately available. Students can continue to add, drop or swap classes until the last day of the Add/Drop period for the term.
If by "academic standing" you mean your grades for the year, you go to student center and then under academics there is a drop down menu that says "other academic" - select "grades" from the list and then press the little arrow button to the right of the drop down. From there, you select the term you are interested in. There, you will find the number of units for each course (middle column) and the total grades points earned in each class (far right column) - you can find your average by adding up the grade points for your classes and then dividing that by the total number of units. Hopefully that is clear. Your average is calculated for you on the unofficial transcript but those are currently unavailable.
You can also find all your marks by going to "course history" instead of "grades" under the drop down menu.
Hi I tried that but it always gives me a message saying you have already enrolled in this class
should I still proceed to enrol after that message pops up?
