Enviro Sci 1A03
im taking this course as my elective next term...i've heard some decent things about it and also that it is really boring....

if anyone has taken this course, i just wanna know the topics they cover and if the material is interesting or not, and also how the profs are (i have bernier)!! my other option for elective is ECON 1BB3

Thanks in advance,
Rhythm.

When I had it last year, 2nd term John McLaughlin taught all of it despite Bernier being listed as a co-prof. I'll try to dig up my course outline for you.

I hated econ 1BB3 but found Env Sci 1A03 interesting; But thats why I'm in Geography and Earth Sciences.

Hey I don't remember the topics but it's basically about weather etc. I found this course to be incredibly boring and enviro sci 1a03 is my lowest mark so far.

For me it is my best mark...It depends how you do on the labs since they are worth 50% of your mark. I avg about 94 on the labs cause I spent alot of time on them. There are 5 and though they are easy they do require effort. Stuff up to the midterm is fun and easy ... after the midterm it is very boring but still easy (you just hear about air masses rising and falling...not that exiciting!)

I took the course in the summer and it rocked! I had an awesome prof (she only teaches during the summer) and the topics that were covered...were not really that exciting. It was straightforward and direct course with topics including weather, climate, tornados, el ninos, el ninas etc. I found few parts of the course interesting though. And during the summer we had no labs but had two assignments. So if you want to take the course in the summer I would definitely recommend it! I am however unsure on the teachign skills of your mentione prof...you could probably check his ratings at ratemyprofessors.com
On a sidenote I took Enviro1B03 with Bernier and found that class to be pretty average. I didn't enjoy his lecturing style and found the labs a bit pointless.
