I've taken Enviro Sc 1G03 and it's a VERY easy course. The material can be somewhat dry but it is very straight forward and easy to memorize. If you have John Maclaughlin (sp?) then it'll be even easier because he gives so many hints for the test/exam. I found this course a nice break from my harder classes like Chem and Physics.

The handbook was actually VERY useful in that class! Most importantly, it tells you exactly how to reference the "geography school" way which they are very picky about. It helped me out for a lot of the labs. It tells you how to do certain things that you won't really be taught such as verital and horizontal scaling I think it was called. However, if you have a friend in the class you can just share it but if you're continuing in Enviro courses then I suggest buying your own copy.

Are you selling the textbook for 1G03 entitled Physical Geology?
