Environmental Sci 1A03 Exam?!
Hello, does anyone who took this course with Sean Carey know what kind of question he will be asking on the exam. Are they hard? I know the outline he gave in class but it would help if I could get some specific questions from previous year exams. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

pretty sure there was a different prof last year

edit; from what i remember though the water balance chart was on it, cloud formation, definitions, and something related to weather maps... the labs are definitely worth looking through

did you have this as your exam outline?
Part 1: 3 of 5 short ans questions
Part 2: 2 of 4 long ans questions
Part 3: 2 lab questions
Part 4: 60 MC

If so, could you tell me some of short and long ans question you remember from the exam? Please
and did your MC come from the 6 quizzes?

You would be much better off spending this time studying for the exam rather than worrying about last year's exam, especially since it's a different prof and different format. I assume this isn't your first time being tested in the course, so use previous assessments to get a feel for the type of questions that might be asked. And, learn the material rather than worrying about what people had to know last year!

There's also no such thing as an easier or harder format, it depends on the prof/course. In some cases MC can be brutal, way worse than short answer, and in other cases it's the opposite. It also matters what your own personal preferences are.

does Part I: 3 of 5 questions (5 marks ea. – 15 ) mean he will mark the three best answer out of five??

It means you choose 3 out of the 5 questions to answer and only answer those 3 that you want.

^And typically in these situations, if you answer more than three, they will mark the first three that they see, not necessarily your best three answers. The instructions on the test should specify, though.

lol i am studying while I am asking these question. And we did not have any written assessments for this class like midterms so I don't know what to expect. We only had MC quizzes, which i studied. I just wanted to see what kind of long ans questions profs asked in previous year exams so I could read more material accordingly. Thanks anyways
