environmental science 1a03??
Hey everyone,

im a first yr studying thinking about taking env sc 1a03 (i think its about weather). Can anyone offer their experience with the course, or even give a slight breakdown description. Even the difficulty level for you would be greatly appreciated.

It's interesting and really easy. If John Maclachlin is teaching it, he's one of my favourite lecturers ever.

Hey, I`m taking that too next term, along with 1b03.. apparently its suppose to be interesting..
the break down is.. as follows:

Course Evaluation
Labs (5 @ 7%) 35%
WebCT Quizzes (4 @ 2.5%) 10%
Tests (1 @ 15%) 15%
Final Exam 40%

The labs are:

The course will contain five labs. The topics are as follows:
Lab 1a: Working with Integrity
Lab 2: Water Balance
Lab 3: Present Day vs Glacial Climate Radiation Balance
Lab 4: Environmental and Adiabatic Lapse Rates
Lab 5: Inquiry in Atmosphere and Hydrosphere

i completly agree, John Maclachlin is amazing! As long as you go to class and listen to what he has to say, you'll do really well and you'll learn some things too!

Hmm thanks for this... i needed an elective for second term and i didnt even notice environmental science courses.. it fits in my timetable beautifully too. haha

it seems harder, and the prof`s ratings arent so great either
