The Ever Lasting Moonwalk

The Ever Lasting Moonwalk

We were hit hard with the loss of Michael Jackson. An RIP thread was started on MacInsiders with over 700 replies.

An interesting project that is happening right now is called the 'eternal moonwalk' project. They ask people to send in their 'moonwalk' going from the right side of the screen to the left... and then stitch them all together online so that you can see each person's moonwalk go into the next person's... and it continues on for as long as people keep sending them in.

Neat idea! Check it out.

Interesting concept. Let's see how long this takes to die down.

The irony is: That's not the moonwalk xD

The "Backslide" was initially a completely separate move from the "Moonwalk" (Exerpt from "Breakdance the movie": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UAaWY_xEv-A)

But because MJ was so popular, his preferred move was the one that was popularized...and people liked "Moonwalk" better than "Backslide" so that's the name that stuck.

The other move (in the video) has been subsequently named either the "True moonwalk" or more commonly termed a "circle glide."

Anyone want to film some moonwalks across campus? lol
