What exactly can we change tomorrow at 8:30?
Is it just adding or dropping classes? Or can we switch times for certain classes, so if I have Bio at 3 and I want it at 11, can I do that tomorrow or do I need to go to guidance for that?

if the core that is at 11 is open, you can do it yourself. same with tutorials/labs. anything that's open it's all you!

you can change classes, and within classes you can change cores and tutorials if they are available.

Is there anyway I can plan this out before so it won't be as bad tomorrow morning? How can you check the different times a class is offered?

Using this thing-a-majig:
https://adweb.cis.mcmaster.ca /mtt/

If your changing a lot of things (which I don't recommend - cuz it'll be hard to get all of your options). Create a couple timetables for urself. So, if you don't have one option, you can still work things out with another. And remember, people will be dropping and picking up courses throughout the month till September. So, if you don't get what you want, be patient.
