Thode basement. Turn left and you'll see abunch of study cubicles and study rooms by the wall. It should be one of those on the right. Your course outline should say.

If your asking about the basement, then no, it's not locked, you can go there. There are i think 2 entrances to the basement...the one that you should use and is not locked is the one that is right beside the elevators on the first floor. When you enter thode, look to your left, you will see stairs(leading upstairs) and an elevator, there's also an entrance to the basement that is beside the elevator.
I think they lock up the basement half an hour before the library closes. I hope that answers your question
