I liked Faculty Day but I wish my group was more enthusiastic. I am an enthusiastic person but if you're with more introverted people, you find yourself dimming your own energy.

I haven't had the super super fantastic welcome week that was advertised partly because I always have to leave for the bus, but I've had an interesting time and I consider it practice. Talking to people even if you'll never see them again is like a trial run for introductions to people that will matter. As for a welcome week experience, I'd like to be a rep next year so that I could be more in control of how the day turns out for me

It actually came out of us making signs at move-in, and some rez managers telling us some were "offensive" (thank you fathers for your daughters, I'm gonna lick your kid). They did however, let nutswingin' go! The guy that made it nutswang for a good 2.5h

We find it awesome.

Heh, well, I didn't actually see it! But a couple of girls in my faculty had to leave before the speeches, they were all looking around wide eyed and were asking what was going on, because of their religion and upbringing and whatnot, and that's just people that I know about. I didn't see it so I thought it was kind of funny that they were all wierded out about the big groups of people, but today they told me what it was for... Thought it just kind of blew for them to have to be left out because some people thought it would be fun or something to 'swing', so I thought I'd see if there was actually some reason or whatever.
