Any upper years willing to tell me what we do on this night?

You go out with your faculty somewhere and do something. Let us know your faculty and an upper year can give you more info. Its different for each faculty.

Its a night where you get to meet your fellow classmates and meet many people (profs, upper years, etc) in you faculty. Its a fun time which helps you become more comfortable at uni. As the above poster said, let us know ur faculty and an upper year can give ur more specific info.

it's pretty fun, last yr science went to this beach restaurant on the lake, and there was food and a live band

From the event posted on the McMaster Engineering Society's website:

"First year Engineering students are invited to attend Gulliver’s Engineering Kickback on Thursday afternoon/evening, for Faculty Night! Tickets not required: Just student card or ID with your name!
The event offers sports, group activities, massive inflatable activities, FREE FOOD, more swag items for pick-up, a live band, and much more!
Rain or shine, the event is a massive success, with the majority of engineering first years coming out to meet peers and engineering reps, and to hang-out in the wide open park area. A lake is situated right next to the park, and you are welcome to bring a bathing suit and towel.
Buses leave from beside JHE Annex all afternoon, from 2:30pm-7pm, and then they will cycle back to campus. The last bus will be at approximately 10:00pm, so you are not out late.
