Faux-LAN Gatherings?
Has anyone ever thought of getting together to play non-LAN games using empty, or part-empty servers? Sounds like it could be fun.

I think he means LAN, but people joining an online server for games that don't have a LAN mode (or for the sake of playing other people). From what I've seen though, MLC doesn't have internet at LAN, so I don't think it's possible.

There are programs like hamachi and tunngle which allow for LANs over the internet. So you can play games with LAN modes with friends even though you're not under the same connection.

We have internet at our LANs, i connect a linksys wireless G router to a MacConnect port on the wall (in switch mode), so everyone that needs stable internet can connect (and login via MacConnect)... BSB doesnt have great wireless. Damn Blizzard and their lack of LAN for starcraft 2!

I am attempting to pass the internet through our dedicated server while still having full control over DHCP/DNS over our gigabit network ... but that raises Terms of Agreement issues with MacConnect so i have to do it carefully.
