I can't find anything on this course; but it sounds interesting

I'm in the same boat... I wanted this an elective for the fall but I dunno if it's like easy or not....

I've never taken the course, but from what I've heard about the prof, he "goes out of his way" to explain that it isn't going to be a bird course. That's what I've heard, at least.

I'm signing up for it this year. Honestly though, difficult or not, it sounds interesting, and passion generally = good marks. So, I'm not that worried.

I've taken 4 classes with Joe Sokalski now. He's not terribly exciting or innovative, but he's a good professor who knows his stuff, can teach it, and is fair and lenient. If you have a genuine passion for film you'll like him and will be able to bounce ideas back and forth, but his straightforward approach can and will bore the casual student.

Oddly enough I haven't taken this particular course, but I took it's antirequisite (THTR/FLM 1B03) so I'm guessing that they're similar. Probably one or possibly two term tests, a term paper, and an exam. Be prepared to watch a lot of films you've never heard of.
