In your opinion, is it better to finish all of your classes consecutively and end the day off early, or would you rather prefer breaks in between classes, the potential downside being that you end the day off a little later than you would if you had no breaks.

It'd be better to have the classes grouped together instead of 1hr gaps inbetween. However 3 back to back classes is my limit, 4 + you might get tired and start to skip

to answer your question, here's a little survey, as it does depend on the individual person.

1. Are you a morning person or a night owl. If you get most of your work done in the morning, then that's the way to go.

2. Do you use time wisely? If you had a bunch of breaks, would you waste the time or spend it studying?

3. Are you off campus on campus. If you're off, you won't want to have large breaks in between, because you won't be able to go home/doing so would waste time.

4. Do you feel like you need a break after a long lecture? sometimes it's helpful to just grab a coffee and refuel and rest for 60 minutes before the next class.

in the end, everyone functions differently and will thrive differently. if you find you don't like the gaps after first semester or want to start later or earlier, you can always change it for second semester, and then you'll know for future reference.

For me, I like to have my classes grouped in the morning (not as early as 8:30 everyday, but I can handle one or two days like that if I have to), so that I can come home in the afternoon, sleep/do homework, and go to work if I'm working that day.

9:30-11:30 is when I like to start. For some reason, even though everyone woke up for like 13 years for 8:30-9:00 am classes when they were younger, it becomes inexplicably difficult in university.

If you like to sleep in a lot though, consider grouped classes in the afternoon, you get in, get out and you don't have to wander around campus or waste time during breaks. Not many people like doing homework inbetween classes.

Start late, finish early. Win-Win!

I like to start around 10:30 and end around 2:30. Labs suck though, I usually have 2-4 each semester.
