First day of classes is just going around to all of your classes except for tutorials/labs. There's also usually welcome week stuff going on.

Are you referring to first day of classes or first day of Welcome Week?

You'll go to a class, and think afterwards "damn, I could have slept in".
Then you'll go to the next one and think the exact same thing.

Tutorials and labs do not run the first week (Txx or Lxx). I have a tutorial and lab on the 5th... hollah!

edit: tutorials and labs do not start before the first 'core' (Cxx), you may have a tutorial or lab the first week, but it is unlikely

Your "first day" is the Thursday of Frosh Week. Just go about to your classes as you would. Tutorials and Labs don't usually start until the following week, unless your Professor indicates otherwise. If you have a tutorial/lab for a class you haven't been to yet, you don't need to attend it. No T.A will show anyhow =P

I dunno, the first day seems a little early to start hooking up.

since everyone answered in terms of the first day of classes, i'll answer in terms of the first day of welcome week.

you move in, unpack some of your stuff, meet your roommate(s), learn some cheers with the welcome week reps, meet some people in your rez, eat dinner with your rez mates, go to a random building/classsroom and have the CA's and reps explain some first year stuff, rez rules, etc, play some icebreaker games to further get to know the people in your rez, and that should be it for your first day lol
the following WW days will be somewhat similar except with more/different events. but yeah, i remember honestly not even feeling like i was at school...felt more like some daycamp

savour it while you have it cuz you'll only be in first year once and school starts very shortly after!

im surprised i still remember that.
