For the past few years:
For Bio: Biological Science By Scott Freeman was used
Chem: General Chemistry By Petrucci
Also, always include the full course code. There's a lot of courses with 1X03 in their course code.
The up to date book list comes out in the middle of August though. So, it's best to wait until after the first class though to see if a prof will accept older editions or not. On the other hand, textbooks may always change in comparison to the year before. So, it's best to wait before buying them.

If you are planning on buying them online (i.e. cheap international editions) or don't care about having the newest edition, check out the course outline for each course from previous years and look up the textbooks that were required last year.

Also, I find http://www.booksprice.com to be the best place to compare prices of texts online.
Used it to buy most of my textbooks last year (second year bio books) and saved tons.
You can easily get the ISBN # off of Amazon once you have the title, and then on you go...

It's best to wait until the first lecture but like a few other people stated that if you don't care about having an older version/model then look up old course outlines.

Just out of curiosity since it's somewhat relevant to this post and I've just thought of it.

Does orgo have it's own textbook?

Math 1LS3 might have a different textbook this year.
Since the introduction of 1LT3, Lovric has been writing a textbook for this course and the 1LT3 textbook is likely to be integrated into the 1LS3 textbook to create a new 1LS3/1LT3 textbook.
So yah, wait till the first class before buying textbooks.

For Psych 1X03 (I'm assuming that's what you meant by "1X03"), there was an E-book called Discover Psychology or something like that. I personally didn't use it at all and ended up doing fine in the course.

It is very useful to wait before buying textbooks. I felt like I should be prepared in first year, but it really is useful to wait and see. I only used about 4 of the many textbooks I bought first year. You'll get a list once classes start. And also, buy used when possible.
