First Year Textbooks
Hi guys, So I'll be entering as a life sci first year student to mac this fall. I had planned to buy as many used textbooks as I can for my courses but many people advised me to wait until the first week of September to purchase textbooks as profs tend to change their mind about what textbook material to buy. So is it a good idea to wait until first week sep or should I buy them now? Also, if I do end up waiting, is there still a high chance of other students selling their textbooks from previous years that I can buy

hey !!

for sure wait atleast for the 1st week of school..many profs change up editions of books or the authors itself ...so waiting wouldnt hurt and ther's always students selling off their books even at that time..another option if you want the latest version is to look online for international editions and ship them in...and you don need text books for atleast the 1st two weeks ..hope tis helps!!

Lilly_Allen says thanks to jayaprr for this post.

I used an international edition of a stats book last year, and ordered another this year. They are perfectly reliable as long as the seller explicitly tells you that its all in english and the page numbers are the same as the original. Usualy the only difference is its paperback, maybe on thinner paper, and pictures will be black and white.
