Changes 2008: #1 - Forum Merge
After hearing feedback from our users, we've done some housekeeping on our forums. It was noted that there was some overlap in our previous forum structure, and some of the forums weren't very active or messages being posted in the wrong places.
In order to make it easier for users to find what they are looking for and know where to post, the forums have been restructured to use the following categories: - General Discussion (Discuss all things interesting!)
- Academics (Courses, Faculties, SOLAR, MUGSI, etc)
- Residence Talk (Questions, feedback, etc)
- First-Year Questions (Dedicated just for first-year/prospective questions)
- MSU Clubs (Sub-forums for various clubs) *will be re-vamped this summer*
Any questions, feedback, or concerns feel free to reply to this posting. Thanks!

Also, please ask questions as new threads (instead of asking in a post that is on a different subject)! That way it makes finding the answers to the questions much easier. Really good examples of this are the faculty forums. Especially since for the most part they were not utilized since last summer.
Reading through ten pages gets really tedious. It's good if the discussion is continuing, but quite often they tend to stray from the original questions. And the same questions tend to get asked multiple times, as oftentimes people won't read threads that end up that long.
Thanks!

If a thread starts splitting into different questions or topics, we'll separate it as it's own thread, just to make it easier for the person asking the question to get a better answer as well as for people with the same question being able to find that discussion quicker and easier. But you can help by simply going back to the forum you'd like to ask the question in (eg. Academics) and clicking the new topic button to create your own thread. Thanks!
