Hey, the labs are TBA, do you know what time they were scheduled roughly and how they schedule it since everyone has different time tables?

The workload wasn't bad in my opinion. Basically, the mark breakdown consists of a participation mark, two tests, one midterm in december and a final exam. So all you have to do is attend class (participation marks) and practice your french outside of lectures.
There's a french learning program you get on a CD which serves as your source for practice. Also, all the questions on the tests and exams are taken directly from the CD

my dislike for the French courses at Mac:
I don't qualify for ANY OF THEM *cries*
do I have gr 12 or 11 French? nope. Music was more important.
do I have gr 10 French? nope. Music / German was more important.
do I have gr 9 French? YES. can I take 1Z06? NO. Why not? because I'm in Humanities!
grrrr.
if anyone else runs into this problem, I was told by the French dept to pick classes I don't want to be in (what a great idea, taking away seats from people who actually want to be in said class), and fight with the professor in September for special permission. yay?

Hmm I don't understand, in the most current course calendar, it has this description:
FRENCH 1Z06 BEGINNER'S INTENSIVE FRENCH I
An intensive course for developing basic skills in both written and spoken French. The normal sequel to this course is FRENCH 2Z06.
Five hours (two hours lectures, three hours independent personal computer lab assignments); two terms
Prerequisite(s): This course is designed for students with no background in French or with Grade 9 or 10 French.
Antirequisite(s): Grade 11 or 12 French U, FRENCH 1A06, 1K06. Not open to Immersion students or Francophones.
Students with prior knowledge of the language, as determined by a placement test, may be required to enrol in an appropriate alternative.
No mention of faculty.

never again will I assume that because I've wanted to take French for the past 3 years and couldn't because I was in Humanities I can't this year!
I didn't even try to pick it on SOLAR, so at the news that there wasn't a clause saying that I was in Humanities I couldn't take it, I just tried to sign up for it. and it worked! HURRAY (sorry history kids if you couldn't get into any classes because I was hogging seats.)

Nope not for this course. She speaks in English when she's teaching a lesson.
