G test in small towns
I was thinking of doing my G test in a small town like Aurora or Lindsay. I would like to use an instructor's car. Could anyone recommend a GTA or Hamilton based driving schools that take students to these locations for tests?

Thanks in advance.

I know Guelph is super easy for G test. They only take you to a 70 KM/H city highway.

Indeed. To be fair, Oakville is not really the small town style you're looking for. They take you on the QEW which is definitely not those soft roads with a limit of 70-80 km/h.

But if you can drive you shouldn't have a huge problem with taking the test anywhere, and I was happy with Oakville's testing centre.

adminteddly the QEW is a busy highway but in essence all highways are the same since there will always be traffic (unless u always luck out like me). The time u choose ur test is also important since it predicts traffic flow. Taking your test at like 9-11 am (right after morning rush hour) is prime time. Next would be right after lunch (1-2)

I did my G test in Lindsay and it was super easy. We went on an 80 km/h highway for about 30 seconds before getting off. I would definitely recommend doing your test there, I don't recall there really being anything tricky there.

Just take the test wherever is the most convenient. The test isn't that difficult and you'll be more familiar with how the roads are.

If you are a competent driver you shouldn't have a problem anywhere you take it.

i remember the toronto star posted a list of the average pass rates of the drivers tests. dont take it in toronto since the average fail rate is 50%, but in places like barrie (where im from) it was like 25%.

Coming from Lindsay. I can say that there are some programs that honestly take bus loads of kids from the city out to write there tests... i dunno anything about them, i've just seen the buses by the ministry of transportation all the time... maybe you should look into that

Apparently Simcoe is rather easy as well. My brother didn't even have to parallel park or any of that.
