How to Get to St.Joe's West 5th?
From McMaster. Google maps is only giving me routes with the Go bus. Any way with the HSR that isn't ridiculously long?
ALSO, even though its probably not likely, can I avoid sketchy downtown areas? I really don't like it down there, lol.
Thanks

Im pretty sure it's obvious how to get to the MacNab terminal and then just take the 21 from there.

take any of the campus routes to downtown, macnab terminal. Then, hop on number 33 sanatorium route and it will take you right by mohawk college, which is beside the new hospital

I found this on Google Maps: http://maps.google.ca/maps?saddr=Main+St+W, +Hamilton,+Ontario&da ddr=224+James+St+S,+H amilton,+ON+L8P+3A9+( St+Joseph's+Healthcar e+Foundation)&hl=en&l l=43.253549,-79.889531&spn=0.01916 ,0.03592&sll=43.25489 3,-79.888201&sspn=0.0383 2,0.07184&geocode=FRg SlAIdsrU8-ymFo8UKRpssiDERMftivn Biiw%3BFQvxkwIdST89-yFsjcGJLWggWykdW-dknpssiDF7b1mMb6U1Bg& mra=ls&dirflg=r&ttype =dep&date=11%2F08%2F1 0&time=12:00&noexp=0& noal=0&sort=def&t=h&z =15&start=2
Of course it depends on the time, but the 6 also goes near to St. Joes.

Any bus to MacNab. 21, 33 or 35 to the mountain campus of St. Joes. If you want to avoid downtown its a trek. 5C to Ancaster, 41 to meet the 33 or 35, or 43 to meet the 35. I would advise you just stomach the MacNab terminal, its not really sketch at all.

Also, just in case you don't know. St. Joe's West 5th is undergoing construction right now. And there are multiple buildings other than the main hospital. You might want to make sure where you're going beforehand or else the trek through the construction and stuff to the other sides of campus wouldn't be very enjoyable. I've gone to the main building before only to find that the building I'm looking for is on the other side of the hospital campus. Not fun...
I usually take any bus from campus to macnab and then take either 21, 33 or 35. They all pass by the main entrance of the hospital. The macnab terminal is actually pretty nice, not too sketchy!

Thanks for all the ideas guys. I'll have to check it out when I get back onto campus.
Roughly how long does it take, coming from people who've done it before/know the system?

It usually takes me a little over half an hour. I also found out about the free shuttle bus that can be requested to go from mac to mohawk which is right across from st. Joes West 5th. If you find public transportation to be too much of a hassle, you could potentially try this option instead. Just go to myshuttle.ca for more info. You can call to confirm details

Depends on the time of day. It's about 15 minutes to get downtown. I'm not familiar with the exact schedules of those routes, but during the middle of the day it should be maybe 10 minutes to catch a bus. The time to the hospital from there should be about 10 minutes.

Thanks again! That's a pretty reasonable time-frame.
