hey guys, i was wondering if anyone else has been taxed on american awards/scholarships. i was taxed 33% and i just got a tax form (Form 1042-S - Foreign Person's US Source Income Subject to Withholding) for being a "nonresident alien". I have no clue what to do. i've never done canadian taxes (my parents have always done mine with theirs) let alone american taxes. do i file this with my canadian taxes or do i actually need to do american taxes?

any help would be appreciated. i tried talking to the financial aids & scholarships department but they said they cannot help me with tax questions.
