GO Bus from Mississauga to Mac
Is there any way to find the map for the route that the Hwy 407 Bus to Mac takes?

I know it has express routes from Square One, as well as from Oakville, and sometimes it goes from Sq 1-> Oakville-> Mac...

I was just wondering if it goes anywhere near Erin Mills Town Centre, where I live, and where I could take it (at one of the GO bus stops, only the major ones are listed on their website, and it doesn't stop at any major stop near there), instead of going to Oakville or Square One?

Anyone know where I can find a map, or is there anyone here who knows the route well?

You can use Google Maps to find public transportation.

One way to is to the Oakville Hwy 403 Service (19) from Egling & Erin Mills, arrive at Oakville GO Station (1 Stop). Tranfer to the Lakeshore West Train Service to Burlington GO Station (3 Stops). Then Transfer to the McMaser U Train Meet Service (15A) and arrive at McMaster University (1 Stop).

You can also take the Streetsville Hwy 407 Service (45) from Erin Mills Pky at Erin Centre Blvd, arrive at Square One GO bus Terminal At Station (2 stops). Transfer to the Hamilton Hwy 407 Service (47) to McMaster University Campus (4 Stops).

You can also take the Oakville Hwy 403 Service (19) from Eglinton & Erin Mills and arrive at Square One GO Terminal (1 Stop) (This bus goes in the opposite direction from the first direction I gave you). Transfer to the Hamilton Hwy 407 Service (47) to McMaster University Campus (4 Stops).

Google Maps is powerful, use it. You can schedule to arrive at a certain time or leave at a certain time and on different days too.

The GO bus for Mac doesn't run from Streetsville, so your best bets are going from either Square One, or the Trafalgar R/407 carpool lot.

If you're closer to the 9th Line area, then Trafalgar/407 is your best option. It's also a LOT cheaper than the S1 10 rides/monthly pass because the commute from Trafalgar is closer.

If it's express it can be 35 to 40 mins. Normally when it's not express it's about 50 mins

Yeah It takes the 407 so its fast. There three different bus routes. The 47, 47a, and 47b . The 47b goes straight from mac to sq1 while the 47a does that plus makes a stop at bramelea. The normal 47 makes a bunch of stops along those go highway parking lots

Does the 407 bus run on weekends? (During regular school year time)

I was looking at the schedules on the Go Transit website and it only shows Monday to Friday, Sunday, and Holidays.

Thanks =)

That's the only bad thing about the GO service for most (if not all) universities - no Saturday service.

Hi . I also live near Erin Mills town centre and I have done the following (be warned, it's quite pricey, but this is only for the first month of uni):
  • GO Student Monthly Pass from Streetsville to Square One (bus 45); takes 20 minutes; $112.00
  • GO Student Monthly Pass from Square One to McMaster (bus 47 and 47A); takes either 35 or 45 minutes, depending of if it's express (47A) or not (47); $204.00

Note: you only save $11 if you choose Mississauga Transit over GO to get to Square One. And considering that Mississauga makes more stops, and GO is more comfortable, I paid the extra $11 bucks. In the morning, the Square One to McMaster bus runs every 15 minutes.
