The design of LG’s Optimus 2X features a 4.0-inch touch-sensitive LCD screen, with a resolution of 480 by 800 pixels. The pixels per inch (PPI) measurement here is 233.25.

The touch-sensitive Super AMOLED screen on the Nexus S is the same size. The screen resolution matches that of the Optimus 2X. Do the math again and the pixels per inch (PPI) rating of this screen is 233.25.

In terms of CPU prowess, the Optimus 2X’s core uses a 1GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2, featuring a dual-core ARM Cortex A9 chip. The Nexus S is fast, thanks to a single-core ARM Cortex A8 ‘Hummingbird’ processor, rated at 1GHz. But it can’t match the performance of the 2X.

The Optimus 2X’s 8.0 MP lens features a maximum resolution of 3264 x 2448 plus autofocus, an LED flash, geo-tagging and 1080p video recording. For video calling, you’ll find a second camera on the front face.

Despite including autofocus, an LED flash, geo-tagging, touch focus functionality and 720p video recording, the Nexus S’s 5.0 Megapixel camera isn’t as good. It also boasts a second camera on the front for video calling.

Verdict: The LG Optimus 2X wins!

Also, benchmark test showed that the LG speed was 2701 where as the Google Nexus was 1762.

I've heard nothing but good things about nexus.. seen/heard a few disgruntled people with the optimus, and being one of the first dual core phones, i wouln't doubt there are some problems with it. Check the wind message boards before considering any of these phones, cause my xt720 blows.. theres issues with the 8gb microsd card they give you and caused me much frustration for months till i bought my 32gb.

posting on a lg g2x from WIND right now. amazing phone but you need to root your phone and install custom ROMs to get decent battery life. Battery life out of the box is terrible.

The 2X has better specs, but the Nexus S will be continually updated by Google and has a better community behind it for modding.

I'd go with the Nexus S.

in all honesty, i highly doubt any one's going to use either of the phones to its full capabilities. maybe for the first week or so, but after that no ones going to care, and you're going to use your phone to make calls / text / email / music / videos.

If it can do that, and still look good, go for which ever one you like better?

You can always try one, return it within the refund time, and try the other?

You should do this. WIND has a 15 day return policy as long as it is still in perfect condition and has less than 30 minutes of talk time on it.
