GPA calculated based on year or level of study?
Hey some medschools take ur gpa for the last 3 years of ur study period. Is that last three years of study or last 3 levels in your program? I am making a switch and it turns out that some of the classes I did poorly on end up being electives of my new program and fulfill the electives slots of my 3rd year and 4th year electives?

Any help/clarification

Typically last three years, but different schools have different ways of doing it. Some schools also require these years to have a full courseload.

depends. every med school does it differently.

For ottawa it is the last 3 years: (y1 x 1)+(y2 x 2)+(y3x3) / 6
UofT will use all your course except summer courses and if you have completed 3 years by the application and had full course load then they will drop lowest 6 course.
Queens takes all courses into consideration including summer school and if that doesnt meet their cut off then they use recent 2 years.
western uses best 2 years
mac considers all courses including summer courses and same applies for memorial university and mcgill
sasketchwan uses best 2 years
alberta and calgary will drop your lowest year
