You don't know unfortunately...that' s why McMaster's GPA is a really stupid system.
Permit me to demonstrate:
Suppose you get 82 in one course, and 78 in another. Averaged together, these should be 80%, which is a 10. However, this amounts to getting a 10, and a 9...which average to a 9.5! (That's why you are on the Dean's Honour List for having a CA of 9.5...and not 10)
The McMaster CA
always underestimates your percentage grade in the higher grade point levels (because the GPA system is nonlinear). So the way to compare yourself with other university grading scales (ie. a 4.0 scale, or a percentage scale) is to convert
course by course, and not your cumulative average.
