Hey i was wondering if somebody on here could help me with a little problem that i have. I've been trying to figure out what i need to boost my 4.7 GPA to a 6. Sounds confusing, but what i am trying to find out is does anyone know what marks ill need to kick out this semester to boost it up. I just find this GPA stuff confusing. Thanks!

Pretty simple stuff I think. If you currently have 4.7 and you want 6 then do the following depending on what year your in.

Second year: you need 7.3 in order to get 6
Third year: you need 8.6 to get 6
Fourth year: you need 9.9 to get 6

So since you're in second year (according to your macinsiders profile thing on the side of your post) and if you have the same number of units in first year and the same number of units in this year then you'll need a 7.3 this year. If you have a different number of units in each year then it'll be a little bit different then that.

If the op is in third year and their average for the last two years is 4.7 and they've taken the same number of units every year (including this year) then they'll need an 8.6 in order to bring his average up from 4.7 to a 6.

So:
4.7 over first 2 years (aka 60 units we'll say)
8.6 for 30 units this year
=6 for 90 units
