great pubs in hamilton
hey guys im looking for really good pubs and bars in Hamilton.

anything that's open relatively late on weekends, good food, good drinks (not too expensive). and it shouldn't be tooo far form school (like a 10-15 min bus ride is fine). i know Hess village has a bunch of clubs but are there good bars there to go and drink and hang out?

if any of you have been to the Madison in Toronto, that is a great bar. maybe something like that or with the same atmosphere.

thanks

Good question, I'm interested in the answer as well.

The Phoenix (on campus) kind of reminds me of the Madison, it's nice on weekdays but not open on the weekend.

Last time I went to Slaintes it was practically a club...might just have been that night but it was extremely unexpected.

Augusta St has a lot of pub options. Also check out Ray's Boathouse on Dundurn st South or the Westtown on Locke St South. Ceilidh is good, but it turns "clubbish" on weekend nights at least.
