Man, I have heard some good reviews about the Phat Cat. That will be a good upgrade from the stock Epiphone humbuckers. Of course, P-90's have way more balls.
Next time you are buying gear, buy used. There are a lot of great deals out there on used Peaveys and Traynors. Just be sure to check the guts when you do.
If you want way better tone for a really cheap price, upgrade your electronics. Change your wiring, potentiometers, capacitors, etc. You will notice a BIG difference.

Yea that what i figured. I was first looking at getting a strat but it was too expensive so i figured i just upgrade mying. Will find out in a couple weeks how it sounds though. Its taken almost 3 weeks :\. i had to special order em.
And it look s like we have a band going here, we got ibanez920 on the drums, Taunton singing, lawleypop on classical guitar and a whole bunch of electric guitars . haha
But yea for sure if u guys are jamming id gladly join, would have to borrow an amp for now but im sure we can make it work .
O and for all beginners, i got a copy of a learn on your own guitar cd that i dont mind lending ya . I first started with that before going for classes.
Edit - i dont know why the font got so funky :S

Ok, so I was thinking how to get this session set up.Any kind of place would involve people bringing equipment/have equipment there already.
A few options:
Anyone know any free/open source programs to jam online? Would be easier for us. Would make actually communicating slower, and quality may suffer.
Anyone have a house around university willing to take us? If so do you have any equipment? -- All I have is amp, laptop and guitar and I'm pretty sure my landlord would not want us to tear it up in teh basement.
Could we do it at school? Do they have equipment? Would people be able to bring it?
If someone could help answer this issue, it would be helpful.

If we can't find anywhere to play at Mac, then we can always book a studio rehearsal room around town. I know of a couple of places, but I think it costs $20/hr. Let me know what you guys come up with.

Yeah, I'd want to. But at this point it seems like it'd be a long road to learning everything again.

It's not so much relearning everything. It's more practicing everything you've ever learned. but yea, I couldn't play Barrios anymore unless I practiced HARD. Way too fast to just jump into it. D:
