FULL MUSICAL LINE UP ANNOUNCED FOR SUPERCRAWL 2011
The Organizers of the 2011 edition of Supercrawl are excited to announce the full line up of musical artists performing at this year's festival. SUPERCRAWL is a FREE afternoon and evening of art, dance and music on James Street North in Hamilton, Ontario. This year’s edition will take place on Saturday, September 10th from 1 PM till Midnight on James Street North from York Blvd/Wilson Street heading north to the bridge at Liuna Station.
In addition to the previously announced festival headliners BROKEN SOCIAL SCENE, J MASCIS, PALEY & FRANCIS and recent Juno Award winners SAID THE WHALE, a total of twenty-five new artists have been announced for the 2011 edition of Supercrawl. Notable new announcements include Hamilton electro pop duo JUNIOR BOYS, Canadian country music star RIDLEY BENT, American singer-songwriter SEAN ROWE and a special collaborative performance between BASIA BULAT and the HAMILTON PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA, amongst others. The 2011 Canadian Finals of the DMC World DJ Championships will also be taking place during the afternoon and evening of Supercrawl at Academia Hall, 242 James Street North, and WAR CHILD will also have a busking stage. Its participants will be announced later this summer.

About SUPERCRAWL:
SUPERCRAWL is an annual event that celebrates the diversity of Hamilton’s James Street North district, our multi-disciplinary arts community, and the incredible spark that results with our unique mix of cultures, businesses and creative people.
In 2009, SUPERCRAWL was initiated by a team of artists and community builders who wanted to see the monthly event on James Street North, the ART CRAWL, expand to include music in a greater way, and to take full advantage of an entire street of cultural experiences. This first edition of the festival won the “Best Small Festival of the Year Award” at the 2009 Hamilton Tourism Awards, while the second edition won "Best Medium Festival of the Year Award" in 2010, as well as a 2010 Hamilton Music Award as the "Musical Event Of The Year".
