Hey does anyone know what Health Age 1AA3 is about ?
i know 1BB3 is about aging and the elderly, but i have no clue about 1AA3.

if any one has taken the course, whats the content like?
and would you recommend taking it ?

Personally I found myself enjoying 1AA3 over 1BB3 just because the content was slightly more interesting IMO. But yeah the course is basically an introduction to the key themes and questions concerning health and health care from within social sciences perspectives. For this course I had Dr. Voros and I loved her!

I would most definitely recommend taking it just because you can really benefit from the content you get out of that class. If you do have any more questions though feel free to message me on here

This course has been taught by Professor Voros recently. She is a very nice Professor and loves to help her students. If you ever have any questions, make an appointment to see her during her office hours because she will be glad to help you with anything. The course itself is about current health care issues in the world today. Marks are based on:

Online quiz 5%
Tutorials 15%
Group presentations/discussions 10%
Formal paper draft 10%
Formal paper 20%
Final Exam 40%

If you go to lecture and tutorial, plus do the required readings, you can do great in this class. Her Final Exam is usually multiple choice.

I had healthage 1aa3E with neiterman and i absolutely hated that class. i did poorly in that class because i missed a few lectures do to conflicts with exams and also because the class was 2 hours and the material is sooooooo boring.

you can ace it if you do your readings and pay attention in class, its not challenging. you just need to know what you learned, no tricks.

also, last semester they only had tutorials and one essay. there were no online quizzes... however we did have one midterm.
