Hello all =)
Hey guys, my name is Shannon Vautour - I'm a second year in Earth & Environmental Science (4 year program) and I'm totally loving it! Mac is a great school and I'm totally happy with my choice! A lot of people ask me what I plan on doing with my degree after university, as if there's nothing you can do with it. Well, I almost went into History until I realized I wanted to DO something in the world - help change things. I've always loved the environment and nature, and once I found out this program existed I knew it was right for me. There's a ton of jobs such as working for a big company like Walmart as part of their environmental advising team, or for the government - tons of various jobs working with engineers and politics. It makes pretty good money too . While I'm not at school, I work in Burlington (not on res, I commute) at American Eagle - been there two years and still loving it - and love painting, reading, various outdoor activities, and partying. If you never need any advice about the program or how I found the courses and profs, send me an email! <3
