This place is pretty cool!
I'm planning on going to McMaster this year, and I'm just trying to see how the community is and get myself comfortable. So far, everyone seems super friendly.

Thanks!
Here's a question: I noticed you're in the program I'm interested in! I'm also going into environmental and earth sciences. How do you like it? Anything I should know about it?

Actually I was in a different program for the first three years. I was in Honours linguistics and was planning on minoring in Geography. Due to my grades I had to switch to a three-year program, which is Geography, my intended minor and now graduating from it as a result.

I like the program and despite the fact that I only spent one year in the program it was worth it. Although I wish I spent more time in the program. I didn't spend too much time on the environmental science aspect of the program. I'm not really too keen about it and I spent my time more on GIS and transportation geography.

Make sure you have Geo 1HA3 and 1HB3 in your schedule and I think some other courses to get into the program and a least a 5.0 average. I'm not really too sure about Environmental Science since I focused more in Geography.

Thanks for all the replies everyone! McMaster's social aspects seem really great, not a lot of other universities have these types of forums. I'm just a little scared for the "school" part of university. It seems really intense.
