Help needed fast: Math 1LS3 vs Math 1A03
I currently have Math 1A03. My prof Libor Barto told us on the first day of classes that Math 1A03 has content relating to physical sciences, which would be chemistry and physics. But he also told us that the other math course, Math 1LS3, is for Life Sciences and has content related to health and medicine. I've had a few friends confirm this too. I am in Life Sciences and want to get into to medicine. I know the likely choice seems like Math 1LS3 but I'm afraid that this math may not be helpful to me in the future. So, can someone please give me some inside info on these two math courses in terms of if the above info is correct and whether not having 1A03 will damage my way to medicine. Is math even required for med school? Answer back fast!! plz and thank you before hand

If you need 2 math/calculus courses they actually added another one this year (Math 1LT3). But if you want to take upper year math courses then you should take 1A03 and 1AA3 instead.

If you are just taking math because you have to and you have no interest in taking uppear year classes then I would take 1LS3 and then 1LT3. They are more application based and will prepare you adequetly for med school.
