how many courses do I need to increase my average from a 6 to a 7

That depends on how well you do in those courses and how many courses you've already taken.

Take all of your courses for each
unit*score- sum off of that
how many courses you have next year/semester whatever your goal is - how many units is that * grade. add it all up and divide by total units

Assuming you are first year with 30 units and overall 6 GPA, you will need an overall 8 GPA next year at 30 units
