Hey!
Hey everybody!
I am a prospective student super keen on getting into the Life Sciences program. I came to Canada less than 2 years ago. So if somebody could tell me why Mac is the place to be for life sciences and what sets it apart from other universities like UofT. I'd appreciate it. Also I currently have an 88 average. So what are my chances of getting in ?

Thanks!

Hi,

Welcome to the MI community! The minimum cut-off average varies each year depending on the applicant pool, but obviously the higher average you have the better. If you can get that to a low 90 around midterm time of second semester I think you'd probably get in. As for why Mac is the place to be for Life Sciences...you tell me why you're "super keen on getting into" the program?

My reasons for choosing Mac are-
1) lower class size than U of T
2) values and inculcates team work
3) has its own medical school
4) some profs are focused on delivering the best teaching while some are more research inclined
5)good ranking in Canada, and decent all over the world
