Hi everyone!

My name is Vishali Narayanan, but for my whole life people have called me by my middle name Preethi. Feel free to call me by whichever name is most comfortable for you

I'm a Humanities student and I'm hoping to become a speech-language pathologist, after having worked with a couple of people before. After undergrad, I'll be off to finish my Masters of Health Sciences, and I'll be ready to live out my dream career!

I hope I'll have some time to do the things I love like painting, cooking, writing, reading (if you want to find me I'm probably at a library), dancing (I've been a professional dancer for 10 years and still continuing!), and the dramatic arts as well! I like sitting down to watch shows and movies- and I'll honestly watch anything, so feel free to make suggestions!

Other things to know about me that I don't usually reveal- I've always been a bit of an anime nerd, and I'm into Korea's culture (don't ask why... I'll go on for ages!). I love PIXAR's films (probably more than Disney's), and of course my favourite books are the Harry Potter books (though Oscar Wilde's "The Picture of Dorian Gray" is amazing too...). As for music, I'll listen to just about anything... again- feel free to make recommendations!

I take it that since you want to become a speech-language pathologist that you are considering Cognitive Science of Language as your major. Great choice! It's a good program and I used to have Linguistics as a major.

Make sure you have Psych 1X03 and both first year Linguistics courses in your timetable to be considered in the program. Also at least a 5.0 CA but I know you can do it. Good luck!
