Hit and runs
Hi, my parked car recently got sideswiped on Thorndale cres. North by a grey car (we paint-swapped)
and it occurred to me that this happens a lot at McMaster. I've heard several stories from my friends who've experienced the same thing.
Does anyone want to share their experiences? Maybe even provide courses of action? I've never been involved in auto collisions before.
I'm reporting the incident to Hamilton Police's Collision reporting centre tomorrow (this is what the operator told me)

Inherent risk when parking on the road. Heck, even the lot. I park VERY strategically... and I know it's not going to be perfect. Gonna get hit eventually.
My preference = backing into the widest spot in the corner of a lot.

To be honest, I don't think Hamilton has the best drivers. My first week living off campus, I saw a collision and I've NEVER seen one before. It was just so random, two cars just ran into each other.
I took a picture of it haha.

Park far away and take up two parking spaces.

You deserve a ticket if you do that.
Plenty of ways to be vigilent and not be a douchebag...

If the guy with the cell phone called 911, he must be the dumbest person alive. The fire / paramedic station is right there!

you'd think they'd be fast to get there but i got in an accident at an intersection that had a fire station and they took about a while to get out there cause they had to suit up and come out in their truck
