How's the Outlet Situation?
In most lecture halls, are there a good amount of outlets for charging your lapops, or is it more like there is shortage of outlets?
Thanks

There are not that many outlets in most lecture halls, you'll have to find them and sit next to them. I recommend bringing a small power bar, that way you can still have an outlet if someone is using it.

Good question. In most lecture halls you probably wont be able to find an outlet, especially if you're in the middle of the row. However if you're in MDCL which is a fairly new building there are outlets but that's only if you're sitting the the back row. (I wouldn't reccomend this since people can easily trip over it, and people in the back row are always playing games or something on their laptop, you can barely see the lecture screen)
If you charge your laptop every night, or in between classes at the library, you should have no problems, wires are such as hassle especially when you have 200 other students shuffling around the seats.

Outlets are a rarity and you probably won't get one unless you sit near the front of the room, or get there before the majority of people. None of the lecture rooms are geared towards allowing students to plug in their laptops.

Adding onto what others said, there's definitely a shortage with outlets. Most lecture halls have them, but only a few in each. So you'll have to look around and find where they are and sit beside them. They're usually to the sides. It's kind of a hassle for most people I know who take laptops to class. I suggest you charge it between classes (maybe go to the library and charge it there) to avoid the hassle of looking for outlets.

You may also want to consider buying a battery with a longer life - that's what I did. This way I just charge it during the night and my battery lasts me for the vast majority of my classes. You could even buy two shitty ones, and just interchange them throughout the day.

Some lecture room in MDCL (those with long benches) do have power outlet for most of the seats. But I haven't tried if they actually works.

Always handy to carry a pen and some paper just in case you run out of power, as well, since people tend to gravitate toward the outlets. If you have classes back to back, the time you take to unplug your power supply, wrap it up and head off will significantly chomp into your travel time. At least it does for me, which is why I usually precharge.

Another good tip is if you have a hour inbetween classes, you should make a pit stop somewhere ie. MDCL hallways, Libraries, MUSC, and charge up!
