Hsr Bline
I havent used the Hamilton transit system here yet and am pretty unfamiliar with the streets.
I need to go from Mac to Stoney Creek on Wednesday and was told the Bline bus is the fastest?
Does anyone know how it works, are there any transfers or anything?
(I need to go to Hwy 8 & Dewitt to be exact)

i live in SC near where you need to go
the bline comes at main and emerson!
to get to the bus stop, walk towards the psych building, keep walking towards Main street.
when you get to main street, cross the street and the bus stop will be on your right side!
you'll know you're about 10 minutes away once you get to Eastgate Terminal Platform 7
GOOD LUCK!

Yeah I take hospital b-line to Eastgate everyday (or walk across the hospital if i miss that since they are 15mins apart). But I've never gone past Eastgate since I'm always confused if the bus is gonna continue down Queenston Rd or turn at Centennial (I think half of them turn?).

Google says to take 55 from Eastgate (the beeline turns into 55 I believe, just ask the driver the first time to be sure).

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&sour...z=12&start= 0

BUT DON'T TAKE THE 1/1A (king) CAUSE THAT BUS IS ALWAYS STINKY (don't ask) AND SLOW.
(last beeline leaves mac at 7, so after that you're stuck with the 1 king, but its not TOO slow at nighttime with less people)

There's actually 2 different B-line buses. 10A's stop / pickup at Mac hospital, regular 10's pickup on the opposite side of main st at main and emerson. Be sure to check the schedule to make sure you're at the right pickup place.

Thanks everyone
My only issue now is just if the B-line turns into the 55, but even if it doesnt, i can just catch the 55 at the Eastgate terminal.

The easiest way to tell if a particular 10 bus is going to turn into a 55 is if the route number sign on it says 10/55 .

Yup. The Bline that turns into the 55 comes by Mac every half hour (I think). You can just take any BLine and transfer to the 55 at Eastgate.

Anyone know if there is a direct bus with no transfers from Mac to Eastgate on a Saturday?

also- the 1/1A King stops running at like 7:30 as well from campus, so if you need to get to Stoney Creek Mon-Fri after 7:30pm you need to take a 5- Delaware to Stoney Creek or the 5E Delaware to Quigley and Greenhill

I dont believe there is a direct bus from mac to Eastgate on Saturdays- you need to take a 5 Delaware that stops at Main and Emerson, then get off at MAIN @ WELLINGTON, stay at that stop and transfer onto a 1/ 1A KING to Eastgate Square

Hope that helps
