I was wondering if anyone taken this Neuroimmunology course before? If so could you please tell me what to expect in terms workload/difficulty, what is expected of the labs/tutorials?

In addition the course outline says that a background in immunology is highly recommended, how extensive does that background have to be? it lists Bio 2B03 as a prerequisite, which didn't really cover a lot of immunology...

You can do without immuno. The workload is very high. Must read many journal articles, and write essays, but the marks for this course tend to be rewarding, with averages being quite high (Jane doesn't really care). Good luck getting it, its pretty hard course to get.

I had 2 friends who took this course and found the workload intense because of all the readings. Being a health sci course, there was also a lot of group work, discussions, debates etc. Although doable without immuno, I would imagine it would help tremendously because you don't go into the journal articles blind sighted.
