for bio 1M03 is how humans evolved required?
i know it's listed as required but is it worth buying?

yes! It covers everything in detail. I would say that lecture notes aren't that detailed and it helped me alot!
Lemme know if you wanna buy it!

when i took it last year i did not remove the book or cd from the plastic wrapper and sold the package ....the course might have changed... but i have no idea what was in that book and still got a good mark

Last semester it was actually very useful as the last part of human evolution was entirely out of the textbook, and for the rest of human evolution it helped with understanding some of the stuff the prof didn't go into detail on.

Oh god, that book was horrible haha. I read one page, got bored and never opened it again and still got a 12, so I wouldn't say it's necessary, however some people seem to work better reading more scientific material like this book, so if that's for you then it might be worth it.
If you suck at/get bored easily/can't focus on sciency sounding material it might not be the best investment.
