Hungry for Change?

Hungry for Change?

Join us for a dinner and discussion on the topic of 'Sustainability'.

Sustainability is becoming an increasingly important issue. Our world has a limited amount of resources, and our daily consumption of these resources affect our own health, as well as the health of others. So, what exactly is sustainability? What is OUR role? How does sustainability relate to community health?

The evening's dinner will be served based on the way food is distributed around the world. Participants will get a chance to reflect, discuss, and listen to an incredible speaker who will address the issue of sustainability, and what WE can do in Hamilton and as global citizens.

This year's speaker is Deirdre Pike (Social Planning and Research Council).

Enjoy a multi-media presentation, booths from contributing MSU clubs and local organizations; interact with others and learn about an issue that impacts all of us!

Hungry for Change will be held on:
Thursday November 27th, 5:45-8:00 pm
St. Paul's Anglican Church Hall, 1140 King St. W (Westdale)
Tickets: $5 or $3 with 2 non-perishable food items
Tickets available at: Bryan Prince Book Sellers, and at the door. $5 tickets are available at Compass. More info forthcoming about the $3 tickets.

Food donations go to the Mac Breadbin. Proceeds go to The Freeway and the North Hamilton Community Health Center.

Sponsored by: MSU Mac Breadbin, Community Volunteer Action Group, McMaster Poverty Initiative, Open Circle, International Justice Mission, HASSA (Health, Aging and Society Students Association), PEAS, McMaster OPIRG, One Mac, and St. Paul's.

Hope to see you there!
