iClicker!!
I'm a Life Sci student 1st year and when I went to check the required course ware, for some of the courses it required the iClicker. Is it really necessary to buy it? Also does one iCLicker work for multiple courses?

Yes, I would recommend purchasing the iClicker as it is a requirement and not an optional or recommended item.

Here's an interesting page detailing some information about it: http://cis.apsc.ubc.ca/wiki/index.php/IClicker

And it is my understanding that one iClicker works for several courses

Most classes will use them for in class quizzes which usually count towards your final grade. So you should definitely buy one if it's listed.

Where did you check what materials each course required?

It was like that yesterday too, but it randomly started working after a while. Not sure what they are doing, hopefully (as you said) they are updating.

Check in the used bookstore at the basement of the Student Centre named Undercovers, and check in the MacInsiders Marketplace. Great deals there.
