do i lose marks for not using iclicker, or is it cumulative?

Depends on the course. If it's for marks it will say that on the course outline.

Some courses like chem1aa3 make it an optional grading like do the iclicker ur midterm worth less

check the course outline. if it is included in the evaluation section than you will lose marks for not using it. you can always double check with the prof and other students

Like everyone else is saying it depends on the course and what marks are being allocated to the iclicker portion. But generally, if you are required to purchase an iclicker for the class and it states in the course outline that you need one you will lose marks for not having one in lecture.

I clicker questions are typically significantly easier than anything you will encounter on tests or exams (in any course), so not doing them is a really stupid idea. Honestly, if a one-time $50 payout (or less) will break the bank, you really need to reconsider university.
