Undergraduate students enrolled in 18 units (or more) are automatically registered for the MSU Health and Dental insurance plans. The plans are active as of September 1, 2015 until August 31, 2016. The premium for each plan is included in the supplementary fees concurrent with tuition.
If a student can demonstrate comparable coverage, perhaps with a parent’s plan, a spouse’s or via employment, a student may opt-out of one or each of the MSU administered plans. The opt-out period runs from September 1 to September 30, 2015. There are no exceptions to this deadline. Visit the opt-out page for instructions on opting-out.
