Indigenous Community Forum - Seeking Executive Applications
The Indigenous Community Forum (ICF) aims to raise awareness and education about indigenous communities in Canada and around the world. ICF will host monthly open-discussion events, host guest speakers, and provide students with learning opportunities. The Forum is looking for a dynamic executive team to help with the planning of events, facilitation of trips to local museums, and the planning of an experiential-learning reading week trip to a First Nation’s community in Ontario.
The following position are available:
Co-Chair - Works with the Chair to coordinate events and to complete tasks that do not fit into the description of the remainder of the executive team. This responsibility includes attending and facilitating weekly meetings, contacting members in the community, and maintaining the Forum blog.
Financial Coordinator - Works with the Chair to overlook the finances of the Forum. This responsibility includes assisting with fundraising for community projects, coordinating the finances involving any excursions, and attending weekly meetings.
Communications Coordinator - Works with the Chair with promotions and maintaining the Forum blog. This responsibility includes attending weekly meetings, utilizing a well-planned advertising strategy, and looking for opportunities to collaborate with other on campus groups.
