Inglourious Basterds
Movie-goers and cinema aficionados, discuss!
Personally, I feel this is the best Quentin Tarantino movie to date: a perfect balance of stylized atmosphere, well-composed -- and executed-- dialogue, intriguing plot and plot development, and "spaghetti western"-style action. Despite being advertised as nothing but a ruthless and brainless rampage against Germans, I thought "Inglourious Basterds" was extremely satisfying and quite possibly the best movie I've seen all year.
For those of you who have yet to see "Inglourious Basterds", I suggest you do!

Killin' Nazis!
I wanted to see this movie this weekend but it didn't work out :/ Heard it's great though.
But seriously, better than Pulp Fiction?

I would say it is easily better than District 9. The acting, writing, and story is just dynamite. Not to sound too cliche......but you really will be on the edge of your seat for most of this movie!
Prepared to be pleasantly surprised!
EDIT: In my most unbiased opinion, I'd say it easily rivals Pulp Fiction. In my HONEST opinion, I believe it is better; it has that Tarantino grittiness without being distasteful.

I thought it was good, but nowhere near as good as you're making it sound...

Tarantino hasn't made a good film in over 10 years, same with Pitt (hasn't acted in a good film).
I haven't watched the film, but I would wager that it's overrated.

amazing movie. watched it tonight, probably the best one I've seen all year.
Quentin never ceases to impress.
I don't think it was better than Pulp Fiction but it was definitely something to see.
And for some reason it was rated 14A here, which was weird. maybe its the same for some of you guys.

Ratings are messed up these days, like The Ugly Truth, it was rated everywhere 18A, yet theatres had it as 14 A :S

I believe it's rated R in the US. The rating system is slightly different there.
