IntroPsych Problems?
Hello Guys! I'm taking Psych 1x03 but I found at my timetable that it has only one lecture per week...
Is this a conflict (because most of my courses have 3 -4 lectures/tutorials per week) or is this normally what psych department has to offer?

Pls message asap. Thanks!

My timetable has only one lecture per week of this course as well so I doubt it is due to timetable conflicts. Regardless, if anyone knows why reply to this thread.

Conflicts should be stated in a yellow rectangle under "Term 1 | Term 2". If you have nothing in the yellow rectangular box or you don't even have one..that means you have no actual conflicts.

Psych 1X03 has just one tutorial, the C section you see on the timetable. The actual lectures are online, there are no in-person lectures for Psych 1X03.

Both the Master TimeTable (https://adweb.cis.mcmaster.ca /mtt/) and the Undergraduate Calendar (http://registrar.mcmaster.ca /CALENDAR/current/) show that this course only has 1 hour of tutorials (but they label it as cores, I believe it's due to formatting. Can't have tutorials without a core.). It also has 3 hours of web lectures a week.

So how does this work? Do we all attend a classroom and there is a recording of the lecture or can we just watch the lecture on our computer when we have a break?

Nope, you watch it on your own time, so you have to set time aside on your own whenever it's convenient for you. This should preferably be done before tutorials so that you can use the material you learned in lecture and apply it. Not to mention that there's a 10% participation mark for tutorials.

The time block on the schedule is a mandatory tutorial worth 10% of your mark. You learn the material from web modules posted on Avenue each week.
